24/7 Emergency Ductless Mini Split Repair Across Long Island
Ductless mini split systems are increasingly common on Long Island, especially in older homes without forced-air ductwork, finished basements, additions, garages, and East End cottages. They're efficient and reliable, but when they fail they tend to fail with cryptic error codes (E1, P5, F3, etc.) that most general HVAC techs don't immediately recognize. Mini split repair benefits hugely from a tech who knows the brand-specific fault code chart and carries the right communication-cable diagnostic tool.
All Island Comfort dispatches mini-split-trained specialists across Long Island 24/7. We work on all the major brands: Mitsubishi (M-Series, P-Series, Hyper-Heat), Daikin (Aurora, Quaternity, Fit), Fujitsu (Halcyon), LG (Multi V, Art Cool), Samsung, Pioneer, and the rest. Our trucks carry the most common ductless parts: indoor head blower wheels, communication PCBs, condensate pumps, refrigerant for R-410A and R-32 systems, float switches, and the proprietary diagnostic cables for the major brands.
If one or all of your indoor heads are blowing warm air in summer, blowing cold in winter, dripping water from the front of the unit, beeping with an error code, or refusing to respond to the remote, call us. Multi-zone systems where one zone fails while others work are a common pattern we see and can usually fix on the first visit.

Call 631-591-2289Every Mini Split System We Repair
Long Island has every brand and configuration of mini split. Our crew works on all of them.
- Mitsubishi M-Series single-zone: Wall-mounted indoor head + outdoor condenser. The Long Island ductless standard.
- Mitsubishi M-Series multi-zone: One outdoor unit driving 2 to 8 indoor heads. Common in whole-home retrofit installs.
- Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat (cold-climate): Heat-pump-rated for low outdoor temps. Common for whole-home electrification.
- Mitsubishi P-Series (light commercial): Ceiling-cassette and ducted indoor units. Common in finished basements and large additions.
- Daikin Aurora (cold-climate): Daikin's cold-climate inverter heat pump line. Very efficient, increasingly common on Long Island.
- Daikin Quaternity (humidity control): Daikin's premium line with active humidity control. Premium installs.
- Daikin Fit ducted heat pump: Side-discharge ducted heat pump that uses traditional ductwork plus mini-split-style refrigerant control.
- Fujitsu Halcyon: Wall-mounted single-zone and multi-zone systems.
- LG Multi V S: Variable refrigerant flow system. Multiple indoor zones with sophisticated control.
- LG Art Cool: Designer indoor heads with customizable face panels.
- Samsung wind-free: Wall-mounted and ceiling-cassette indoor units.
- Pioneer / Senville / Mr. Cool DIY units: Budget brands and DIY-installed systems. We can service these but charge a slightly higher diagnostic fee due to often non-standard installs.
- Ceiling-cassette indoor units (4-way): Recessed ceiling units common in commercial-style residential installs.
- Floor-mounted indoor units: Console-style indoor units placed at floor level. Common in spaces with high windows or limited wall space.
Common Mini Split Emergency Symptoms
Mini split failures often show up as error codes on the indoor head display or as reduced output from one or more zones.
Indoor Head Showing Error Code
Mini splits announce most failures with a 2-character or 4-character error code on the indoor display. Mitsubishi (E0-E9, P5, P8, U2, U4), Daikin (A1-A6, C4, E1, U0, U4), Fujitsu (00-43), LG (CH01-CH99). Each code points to a specific failure. We carry the chart and the parts.
One Zone Not Working in Multi-Zone System
Common pattern in 3-5 zone homes. Causes: failed indoor PCB, communication-cable break, refrigerant maldistribution, or expansion-valve fault on the failed zone. Often fixable in one visit.
All Zones Blowing Warm in Cooling Mode
Outdoor unit issue affecting the entire system. Causes: refrigerant leak, compressor lockout, outdoor PCB failure, or condenser fan motor failure. Diagnostic-tool reading at the outdoor PCB.
Indoor Head Leaking Water
Condensate drain blocked, condensate pump failed (if equipped), or float switch tripped. Most mini splits have a small built-in condensate pump on the wall behind the indoor head. They're a wear part.
Mini Split Beeping or Lights Flashing
Different from error codes. Often indicates a remote-control sync problem, dirty filter alarm, or low refrigerant warning. Easy diagnosis.
System Won't Respond to Remote
Dead remote batteries, remote control failure, or indoor-head IR receiver failure. We carry universal remotes and the IR-receiver replacement parts.
Outdoor Unit Vibrating Excessively
Mounting bracket loosened, fan blade unbalanced, or compressor mount degraded. Easy fix that prevents bigger compressor problems later.
Mini Split in Heat Mode Won't Heat
Heat-pump mini splits in winter mode. Causes: outdoor unit iced up, defrost cycle stuck, reversing valve failure, or low refrigerant. Diagnostic tool reads outdoor sensors and pinpoints fast.
Multi-Zone Half-Working?
Often fixable in one visit. Communication-cable, indoor PCB, or expansion-valve fault on the bad zone. Call us.
Call 631-591-2289Our 4-Step Rapid Response for Mini Split Emergencies
- 1Triage on the call. A real Long Island dispatcher answers and walks through your symptoms. We rule out anything you can fix in 60 seconds (thermostat, breaker, reset button), then dispatch immediately. No phone tree, no offshore call center.
- 2Local tech to your door. Typical response is 1 to 3 hours across Suffolk and Nassau, faster for the North Shore corridor between Wading River and Port Jefferson. Your tech texts when 15 minutes out.
- 3Diagnose and quote before any wrench moves. Flat diagnostic fee, written quote on-site, your written approval before any repair starts. No surprise charges, no upselling.
- 4Restore cooling or heat tonight when possible. About 85% of our mini split emergency calls finish on the first visit because the trucks carry indoor head blower wheels, condensate pumps, communication PCBs for the major brands, refrigerant (R-410A and R-32), and the diagnostic cables for Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, and LG. Some brand-specific compressor or PCB parts may require next-day order.
What to Do While You Wait for the Technician
- Note the error code on the indoor head display. Tell the dispatcher when you call so we route the right tech with the right parts.
- Check the remote control batteries. Many "failures" are dead batteries.
- Try a system reset by powering off the breaker for 30 seconds, then back on. Some communication faults clear with a reboot.
- Clean or replace the indoor head filter (snap-out filter behind the front cover). Restricted airflow causes many performance complaints.
- If the indoor head is leaking water, shut it off at the breaker, place towels under the leak, and call us.
- Move pets and elderly family to the room with the working zones if your multi-zone system has a partial failure.
- Avoid disconnecting the communication cable between indoor and outdoor units. Re-pairing is more complex than you'd expect.
